So, that summer vacation is coming up once again. You know, the one you look forward to all year long, and so carefully save up your vacation days for. The question is where are you going to spend it? Wait, let me take a wild guess; you’re in the mood for a coastal getaway. That’s just it isn’t it? Don’t be so shocked! Most of us dream about beach holidays while hunched over at a PC in our cramped office cubicles. Those healing rays of warm sun, that soft soothing sand pressing up between our toes, and the gentle ocean waves setting our minds at ease. Yes sir, it’s truly hard to beat that level of R&R. Now the only thing you have to figure out is which beach you prefer to jaunt off to.

Let me just set something straight before you start packing your luggage and breaking out the sunscreen. Hitting the popular coastal areas for beach holidays in the summer time is no joke. Remember there are six billion other people on this planet, 300 million of them residing in the US alone. Therefore there’s pretty much no chance of finding your very own private hot-spot. You will be sharing your vacation time with the masses. But hey, that’s all part of the beach vacation experience. You have to take the bad with the good. Now, one aspect of beach holidays you should be focusing on is the deals. These apply to virtually everywhere. Come spring break and summer-time, there are countless package deals and discounts to take full advantage of. If you’ve never spotted any of these, I’d assume it’s because you’re not browsing net-land. Cyberspace is your access key to deals galore. Often the best way to go about this vacation routine is by purchasing an all-inclusive summer vacation package. These generally include airfare, lodging and some meals.

Maybe you already have a certain beach in mind. Hey, this will only make the process simpler. Seek out deals and specials for beach holidays in that particular area. If it’s Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, then use that exact phrase in your search. You will be flooded with all the latest and greatest offers for Myrtle Beach this summer. Make sure your summer vacation is a perfect one.

When one of my friends suggested that we take advantage of the holiday cruise deals that Royal Caribbean cruises was having, I was more than a little hesitant. There was, after all, a good reason why I had never gone on any cruise holidays before: I was scared to death. Although I knew a few people who had had a lot of fun on cruises holidays, I was just not up to it. I was worried that I would get seasick, that the boat would sink, that it would be one of those cruise ships where everyone breaks out with some strange disease, and even that we would be attacked by hijackers. Although I knew that, statistically, cruise holidays are a very safe way to travel, it was not enough to put me at ease.

To this day, I do not know how my friend convinced me to go on a cruise holiday with him, but I am glad that he did. I had an incredible time! Intellectually, I knew that a holiday cruise would be a lot of fun. I love swimming, good food, warm sun, and luxury, all of which are to be had in abundance aboard your average cruise ship. The first few days were rough, of course. When the ship first started moving, I was so scared that my friend said I turned white! Once I got my sea legs, however, I was having the time of my life in no time. To this day, I have never had such a pleasant trip!

The thing that I like so much about cruise holidays is that they really give you a luxurious way to enjoy the ocean. On cruise holidays, you can spend all day looking at the waves if you want to, but there is a lot more to do. A lot of cruise ships have casinos, most of them have live entertainment, and almost all of them have a lot of great food to eat. There are fully stocked buffet tables all day and night, and all the booze you could want. Best of all, we got to make little stops at several different islands along the way, enjoying the sights and getting to really get a feel for the local culture. All in all, I have never had a better trip than that Caribbean cruise! I would do it again in a heart beat!
